1. Have you seen any ice cream store in Japan having a statue in front
of the store as in these pictures :

2. Can you make out what the kanji are at the top of the shop to the
left (viewer's point of view) of the ice cream store in the second
picture above ?

Total 7 Kanji, IMHO, the rightmost 2 should be Kotobukiya ( 寿屋 )

3. Anyone has a better screen crop of the same scene so that the kanji
can be seen more clearly ?
