I liked the Lucky Star TV series, but I was a little disappointed
in the OVA.  (just went on sale last week)

Lucky Star TV was very funny and cute, even though nothing much
happened storywise.  I liked the every day stories of Konata and
friends.

The Lucky Star OVA was similar to that.  But since it's only about
33 minutes, they crammed too many short stories into the OVA.
(The "OVA" was actually 33 minutes of anime,
 and 8 minutes of live action Lucky Channel.)
Lucky Channel isn't as funny done in live action.

In addition to the OVA, the DVD contains 25 minutes of tokuten video.
For a seiyuu fan, this was the hilight of the OVA.

The first tokuten contains video clips of a Lucky Channel public
recording event in Kobe (2008.03.15).
The seiyuu participating in that event were Shiraishi Minoru,
Konno Hiromi, and Mizuhara Kaoru.
In addition to the talk, there is one song by Konno Hiromi.

The second tokuten contains video clips of a Lucky Star event
in Washinomiya (2008.04.06).
The seiyuu participating in that event were Shiraishi Minoru,
Katou Emiri, and Fukuhara Kaori.
