Ulysse 31 is a anime created by Japanese and French staff. 

This is a very old a mythic story created by Homere, about a Greek baron, U
lysse. around 2000 year before JC, after a war in th province of Troie, he 
should go back quickly into her province of Ithaque. In fact, at there, the
 rumours said he was dead. So, Ulysse's wife, Penelope, must choose a new h
usband between pretendants.
With his son, Telemaque, and his compagnons, he started a back travel insid
e his boat, the Odysseus.  Unfortunable, just after departing, he will meet
 a strange creature, the Cyclope, a unique eye human like monster. Ulysse a
nd compagnions defeat the creature. But the Cyclope is a Olympe Gods' creat
ure. And the wrath of Gods will making a curse to Ulysse. He must navigate 
on a unknown sea, the Olympe sea ; he will be free he can reach the Hades K
ingdom....

"Ulysse 31" is a 31st century version of this story : Ulysse must go back f
rom the planet Troie to Earth.  The Cyclope is a giant and terrific robot ;
 the Odysseus is a gigantesque spaceship, and there's some added characters
, like Yumi ("Themis" in the French version), the robot Nono and the Odysse
us' navigation computer, Shyrka.

Actually, the Japanese version of Ulysse 31 is broadcast each Saturday and 
Sunday, at around 26:30, on "Cartoon Network" (Japan)

This anime were dubbing on the 80's ans broadcasted in Nagoya TV. But only 
13 episodes was dubbing at this time. 20 years later, the series, for this 
Cartoon Network broadcasting, was re-dubbing recently by different seiyuu.
