I lucked out..  I had been planning to go, and I would have been
there, and at that intersection, about when it happened.  I got
"saved" when I went to Ikebukuro to pick up my motorcycle that I'd
parked the night before, and noticed that there was a DosPara branch
right beside the bike parking lot, meaning that I could get what I
wanted from there rather than driving across town for it.

I think it's a sad event for Akihabara.. People in this country react
strongly when there is a big story in the news (remember all the OUR
GYOZA ARE NOT CHINESE! signs after the gyoza scare?) and I think this
story is going to negate all of the positive steps that Akihabara has
taken towards becoming a more accepted place/lifestyle in the public
mind.
