One viewing of NHK Japanese and two semesters of once-a-week evening classes at
the japanese consulate... And a whole lot of anime. Pretty much fully self-
taught (and very badly).

Mind you, the adrenaline rush is amazing. My first visit to Japan was when I
knew a LOT LESS, and I was like tripping on adrenaline the entire three days...
