Today I went and got some special items during my lunch break.

You can trade in your points for nice goodies. (You get 1 point for 1000yen
spent at Gamers.)

This in most cases is quite nice, but I think Gamers just found the ultimate
way to hammer someone's points down to zero. There will be a specially made
Zippo lighter coming out in September or so, and you have to trade in 444
points for it (if I read the sign right). Admittedly, it comes with a nice
case and other stuff, but still, that means you have to spend 444000yen (about
US$4000?) in order to be able to get it.

Where, inside or outside Japan? The ones in Japan are still very cute and/or
attractive.
