90% of the time, modern entertainment + classical literature = disaster

Most mediums, anime included, either take too many liberties with the story or 
else are too accurate to the original that there's simply no appeal to it. That
and the fact that soem things beautifully rendered by the written word just 
don't carry over evry well in visual.

It's always better appreciating the original books first.
