Cannot confirm this here either, but I found some other news
about Mari:
- Seems that she had participate in auditions of several Japan 
  TV Drama, but could not secure any role. 
- She will be the lead actress of an independent movie "White 
  Shadow".
- Her Japan concert tour will be in July 2003, aligning with
  hew new album.
