I'm not sure if I can answer all your questions, but this is what I know:

A) 26 episodes.

B) There is a strong rumour that there will be a second season, but I'm not 
sure if anything is really confirmed.
 

C) Not that I know of.

D)The author of FB manga is Natsuki Takaya and was published by Hana to Yume. 
The TV series was directed by Akitaroh Daichi and features a lot of very good 
seiyuu ^_^
