D30 is 290,000 yen new, probably under 200,000 yen used
1D is 750,000 yen new.
The Kodak one based on the EOS-1N is 3 million yen, with 6M pixels.

I want the 1D, but I can't afford it.

Actually, the worst part of D30 is not the pixels.
Current Epson printers couldn't print the difference anyway
(at L or 2L sizes).

It's the other functionality, as it is based on the EOS-55.
I know several people who have the D30 (along with a EOS-1[NV]/EOS-3),
and their only complaint is the EOS-55 functions.
I am getting used to the EOS-7, so I should be able to
live with 55 functions (I hope).
