hmmm...

actually, regarding the forgeiner's having a better shot at a job in japan; it
really all
depends.you see, an american or canadian english speaking teacher would have a
better
chance than a fluent japanese person  as english teacher's know slang, cultural
references
as well as "proper english".

or when it comes to animation, studio's in japan often look to popular colleges
such as
Sheridan in toronto for their animators (Disney often does the same)

but when it comes to somewhat "low-budget" series or films, why pay more money
hiring
somebody from over sea's so do the same job as somebody in the area? it might
cost
more to pay the air fare, accomodations and spending money for the person only
visiting
for that period of time than it is actually worth.

i could understand if it was a very big budget film that was meant to be
presented world
wide, but when it comes to standard anime series and movie's, i feel your best
bet is to
move into the area near the studio, pick up some of the slang, and to work from
there.
