  * Event report version 0.7 by Hitoshi Doi, 2000.11.28

There was a public recording event for the TV show Idol Beam on
September 15, 2000 at the Toshima Koukaidou (Ikebukuro). Idol Beam was
a very low quality TV show aired on CS (satellite) about child idols.
There were many kids (aged 9 to 16) who were the regulars of the show.
Then they had various idol guests, and it was mostly a talk show.

Photos were allowed during the event, but flashes weren't allowed.
Video cameras weren't allowed either. It was very dark, as they didn't
have any decent spot lights, so all the pictures turned out pretty dark.

The public recording event had various guests, as they filmed a few
weeks worth of shows in one day. Each guest had about 30 minutes. They
sang one song, and the rest was a talk with the regular kids.

One of the guests was Kira Kira Melody Gakuen (Nagai Nobuko and Minano
Fuuko). Nobuko and Fuuko called themselves Puunon.

First they sang Daisuki together. Since it was only two people, it
sounded very different.. (^_^;

Then they talked for around 30 minutes with the kids. Since they were
seiyuu, they were asked to do many impersonations of anime characters
(mostly from kids shows). Fuuko was pretty good, but Nobuko didn't do
that many. That's probably because Nobuko doesn't watch that much kids
TV shows.. as she's closer to an idol otaku than an anime otaku.

One of the kids asked them to sing (and dance) the Kira Melo theme
song. Nobuko and Fuuko did.. It was very funny, as they just did it
without music and such. Then they even did parts of Kira Para Fire.

-----

The broadcast with the Kira Melo girls was aired on October 1. They
didn't show Nobuko and Fuuko singing Daisuki, but just about
everything else was broadcast without much cuts.
