I was talking about the sync problems when I do software mpeg encoding.
The original AVI are correctly synced. Of course all the AVIs taken
by the Toshiba camera/software have non-standard frames/second.
Maybe this is messing up the software encoders..

I think this MPEG box has the video/sound synced in hardware.
This box has video and audio inputs, and it spits out a MPEG-1 file
(with video and audio mixed).
You can create video only or audio only too.

That's the problem.. I have a 1 GB AVI that I want to convert to mpeg,
but when I try with the various software that I found, the sound
doesn't sync.. I will try some of the other software later.
I wish there was a AVI to MPEG-1 command line converter that runs
on unix..
