DVD-R is still prohibitively expensive -_-;;
DVD-RAM can't be played on standalone DVD player -_-;;;
But you can store ~40mins of 480x480 mpeg2 on CDR/CDRW, for SVHS
quality that won't wear out from playing... and many standalone DVD
players can play it...
