I am currently having a shelves full of VHS tapes and would like to
convert them into VCDs for space saving purposes. Anyone out there has
suggestion on products, something like this box discussed here, that
works on Win2000 (parallel port connection devices has great chances of
non complient with Win2000)? Currently I am on a ATI All in Wonder Pro
and captuing avi files and have to convert them to mpg. Very time
consuming process, is there anything out there that will allow capturing
of mpg directly??

I am on a PII333 Dual w/ SCSI HDD/CDW here, but I am looking for some
way that I can record the video directly onto VCD. Capturing video in avi
and then converting avi->mpg takes up too much time and HDD space.
Looking for alternatives, anyone has suggestions??

Looks like pretty good hardware here... But doesn't seem like it is
being sold here in USA...
