I just wanted to give my opinion about the Escaflowne movie.
While I do understand that there is a two hour constraint in making the movie, I know
I would have enjoyed it better if I had not seen the OAV.
I do commend once again about Yoko Kanno's music and the direction of Shouji Kawamori.
^_^ I will again buy another music CD.
The things I liked the most were the ending, the music, the clarification of Hitomi's
and Van's relationship and the character designs.
What I didn't like about the movie was that it wasn't as emotional as I had expected
it to be. And characters (namely Hitomi, Millerna, and Dilandau) were changed from
their 'OVA' state or from what I had seen them to be.
Other than that, I can say that I did enjoy it but was very disappointed with many
things since I had seen the OAV and kept on comparing them to each other. Plus, I
had come to the Anime Expo here in California just to see this movie.
