Why is it up to me? I wasn't the only one at that event!

Anyway, from the Girls Be June 29th, 1997 Akihabara event report
http://super.win.ne.jp/~doi/events/gb-970629.html is the following:

DOI>The Girls Be first full album will go on sale 8/21.
DOI>
DOI>Machiko described the concept: Neo lez kei French lolita pop.
DOI>Houko: You said that so lightly.. Everyone, don't look down.
DOI>Machiko: It's like girls who are friends and hold hands together.
DOI>Houko: You didn't explain what neo lez is.. It isn't dangerous.
DOI>Machiko: We aren't real lez.

Basically, Machiko said that "Neo-lez" was just girls that were very
friendly with each other, holding hands, occasionally kissing and the
like, but without full-fledged lesbian feelings. So on this ML, "neo-lez"
became sort of a term for cute girls interacting with each other.

However, Machiko's constant infactuation with girls (I think Hitoshi said
he heard from someone that Machiko's manager was always telling her to
stop touching the other girls, but I may be remembering that incorrectly),
as well as the incident from the radio report that spawned all this, leads
me to believe that Machiko is more than just "neo-lez".

Which is neither good nor bad, except that the guys vying for her
attention have a little more competition...(^_^;;;)
