According to Hitoshi Doi:
>On the last Shiny Night, Hisakawa Aya announced the name of
>Kikuko's daughter, Honoka (保乃花).
>I think it would have been cuter if it were hiragana,
>but it's a nice name.

Why Hiragana ? I am reading mail from home on an ancient Mac so
I can't see anything in Japanese right now. Is the Kanji not
quite cool enoguh for you Hitoshi?

>I hope she sings Long Distance Call when she grows up.. (^_^;)

Hoping for something like a Liza Minelli and Judy Garland thing
perhaps ?
A little background for those who don't know : one of Judy Garland's
( Wizard of Oz) daughters is Liza Minelli (Caberet, Arthur). Somehow
I always felt that Streisand was a surrogate daughter of sorts.
You know that would be an interesting question to ask someone like
Kikko-chan or Aya-chan is what infleunce American stars in the
musicals of the forties had on their industry.. If one really
thought about it; one could argue that case that there exists
many similarities between the musical stars of yester year and the
seiyuu of today.. The only modern american versions of these I am
willing to mention in the same sentence with aya and kikko are
streisand and Whitney Houston..
Maybe I will suggest that to Don Maccou if I ever find the correct
e-mail for him (* the one listed on the web page bounces *). The other
question I had for him was his opinions of Shock Jocks like Howard
Stern .. from what Joe's described of Maccou's programs; it could
be considered akin to it; at least from an American perspective.

good night all
