The last one I went to was 2006, but that wasn't for a seiyuu event. The last time I went to watch seiyuu events was 2001, so it's been 14 years! The event that I wanted to see was going to start at 11:30, so I left my house at 8:30, hoping to arrive just around 10:00. I didn't want to stand in line and fight the early morning crowd. I took the Chuou Line to Tokyo, and it wasn't that crowded. But the Keiyou Line from Tokyo was packed. Some people got off at Disneyland, but it was still very crowded to Kaihin Makuhari. I arrived at Kaihin Makihari at 9:50, and finally got to the end of the line for the TGS at 10:05. The early people were probably going in, so we all waited in the hot sun. Then the line started moving around 10:15. I got to the security check area at 10:25, and they checked our bags. I don't remember going through this security check before. Then the line slowly started moving toward the buildings. They took our tickets at around 10:30. Then we walked around the outside of the building, and finally arrived at the entrance at 10:40. The Konami booth was right next to the entrance, so I rushed to the stage and waited for the event to start (11:30). The first row was already taken by fans (around 15 people). But that's about all. I got a nice second row position, and waited for 45 minutes. At 11:00 there were around 50 people in front of the stage. At 11:30 it was pretty much packed, but most weren't seiyuu fans. Hopefully I can write something up about the event.. but it was broadcast on youtube, so you can see for yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXwCBBOseAQ -- Hitoshi Doi " this space for rent " http://www.usagi.org/doi/ doi@usagi.org
