Perhaps he is confusing making a copy of a commercially bought videotape,
with the taping of a show on the air waves. If memory serves, I believe
that the courts have ruled that it is legal to tape a show off the air, as
long as it is for home use only. ie taping a movie off HBO, Cinemax, etc.
Anyone else know anything about this?
