Hmmm.  Okay, let's say that one of the signs that Ranma 1/2 is ending would
be Ranma's mom finding out about his curse, and what happens after that.


Well, guess what....it happened.

Shonen Sunday #39-1995 SPOILERS.

In the last issue, Nodoka was making the connection that Ranma and Ranko
were one and the same.  Genma ran away with her, smacked into a tree while
running with her, which caused her to go plummetting to her doom.  Ranma of
course jumped after her.

The story begins with Ranma falling for his mom, they see each other, Nodoka
in surprise, and Ranma trying to save her.  The tendous look on. From atop
the cliff.  Ranma grabs his mom's sword, and flings it into the cliffside,
allowing Ranma to land on it with his mom on a feather's touch:)  Very
tearful scene next as Ranma and his mother share a tearful reunion.  Then
there is more dialogue I can't translate. Then genma comes down and hugs his
son, but it don't look like a loving hug. :)  Then Nodoka does a bow to
Genma, thanking him for rasing Ranma to be a man.  Of course, the sword
breaks, sending Nodoka and an extremely terrified Ranma and Genma to the
water below.  Nodoka holds onto Ranma's hand while falling, and then....in a
scene which shows them underwater, we see Nodoka holding Ranko's hand all of
a sudden, who has convieniently landed on her head on a rock underwater.  Of
course, Nodoka witnesses the whole thing.  She says, "Ranko-chan...."

Then we see Ranko having a nightmare about having to commit seppuku.  You
know, the usual Ranma and Genma in robes looking like they've just been
crushed holding knives to their stomachs while Nodoka is ready to cut their
heads off.

Meanwhile, the whole gang is on the beach, apparently explaining to Nodoka
about Ranma's curse and all that.  I don't know what she's saying but from
Akane's reaction, it don't look like Ranma's gonna have to kill himself:)

Back at the Tendou house, Ranma and Akane are arguing as usual, and then, at
the end....they are all sitting around a table talking.  And THIS was the
part I had my friend Akira translate:

Nodoka:  I've finally found him.  Now I will take him home.
Ranma: ....going home.....
Akane: Ranma's Leaving...!?

This is NOT a hoax.  My rough summary may not be completely down to the wire
accurate, I'm just telling you what I see.
