Yikes, didn't we purge... er get rid of all Shampoo fans? :)

In retrospect, I think Shampoo is one of the more interesting
characters in Ranma 1/2. Her fight over Ranma with Akane gives the series a
lot of its personality. I prefer her fighting over Ranma than Ukyou or
whatever problem of the arc between the two, because let's face it, no one
actually believes Ranma and Akane wouldn't end up together. There's just no
threat to the series's couple. Shampoo's approach to romance seems to be if
she can't be the one with Ranma she's going to at least make Akane miserable
while she's at it, and she does a pretty good job at it fighting back
against Akane's impregnable 'main character' advantage.

Certainly, bashing Shampoo fans would've been a lot harder if
Shampoo fans aren't so fond of digging themselves into a hole by arguing for
qualities that are never there.

Actually, if Fate's translation ever gets done, be sure to check out
the Ilya vs Saber romantic arcs. It's basically like Shampoo versus Akane,
except the Shampoo-like Ilya rips the Akane-like Saber to shreds, even
through Saber's main heroine advantage. Then again, Rin does the same thing
to Saber as well romantically, and Rin vs Ilya is where the real romantic
fun of the game when you've two girls with equal power and equal wit in an
all-out catfight. :)

that means I will be her puppet for the rest of my life!"
Shirou's reflection on Rin, not that being Rin's puppet is a bad thing!
