	Errr that doesn't work out.  Akane can afford to lose Ranma more
than Ranma can afford to lose Akane.  Her life is quite complete even
without a love interest.

	It is invariably always Ranma's fault.  That is just how the series
work out.  There is no real point to look at it any more than that.  For
Akane to back down from Ranma would mean she'd actually have to put up with
his rude if not abusive behavior, and she's not a character that'll accept
this.  She appropriately lashes out at Ranma when Ranma acts insensitive.  

	Akane isn't someone who's going to 'treasure' her relationship more
just because it was taken away from her.  She may take Ranma for granted but
losing him isn't the end of the world for her.  If she wanted to, she could
be nicer, but it's entirely dependent on her mood.  Perhaps it's the
episodic nature of the story, but more importantly Akane never really feels
the need to make up for whatever she's lost, because Ranma certainly never
does that, either.
