Slight delurk to reply to a very few things.... (Multireply, kind of)
> 1) How did you discover Ranma 1/2?
Turned TV on. ;)
> 2) What language did you originally see Ranma 1/2 in?
French. It ran on TV from 1990 to 1996 or so. (3 reruns)
> 3) What were your thoughts while watching Ranma 1/2 for the first
> time?
Jealousy!!! No, seriously. Ranma is so much better of a martial artist as I
was... Plus the sex changing ability is neat. Well at least in the eyes of a
youngster who starts looking.
> 4) Did it make you wanna see other anime titles by Rumiko Takahashi?
Maison Ikkoku and Lum had already been aired at that time.
> 5) How did you discover the Ranma 1/2 manga?
In a local video game store that had a few manga imports.
> 6) What are your thoughts on the english version of the Ranma 1/2
> manga?
Overall, not half bad. ;)
I'm throwing in the "rarity" topic:
Well, it's not that much of a rarity I guess, but I have a cell of a
long-haired
Akane. Judging from the look in her eyes and her body position, she's
starting to take a "defensive" stance (as far as defensive goes with Akane)
in the scene where she challenges Kunou under the tree where Ranma is
desperately trying to prevent the kettle from falling.
I have a Limited Edition Captain Herlock reprint.
I also have a Shining Force 3 Premium Disc, which I didn't buy off Ebay for
insane amounts of money. I phoned Camelot, and they told me they would
grant me one exceptionaly. (Neat foreigner bonus, I guess)
So, and now I'm returning to my papers.
BTW, to all those who wonder what I do these days, I'm training for the
Ikaruga World Championship. One month to go and 6 millions points to
find... ewww.
