1. how did u get into anime?? (man im really scraping the bottom of the
barrel with this one n.n)

Well, the first exposure I had to anime (even before I knew such a thing
as anime existed) was the endless episodes of Robotech, Battle of the
Planets, Starblazers, etc. they showed on early morning tv around here.
At the time, I didn't know how chopped-up those shows were but I was
happy anyways. Of course, once the daily broadcasts ended, so ended my
access to any anime at all. This was in the early 80's, well before any
title on VHS was readily available.

Fast forward to the early 90's. My friends and I were regularly renting
videos at the local Blockbuster. It finally got to the point where we
had rented anything at all that even looked vaguely decent. We had
noticed this little shelf labeled "animation" but being young and full
of ourselves, we had never given it a second thought. Now, with nothing
else worth renting (or so we thought), we took a second look at the
animation selection available and finally decided to try a weird video
named "Outlanders". A few days later we rented some Urusei Yatsura
videos and I was forever hooked. Now countless hours and a very scary
amount of money later I am a confirmed anime addict! Who would have
thought that one little video could change a persons life so much?!

*Back to lurk mode!*

Victor

desperate for some conversation, i see. ;) Anyway, I got into anime
about 5
years ago when it was introduced to me by someone. The first anime I saw
was
Tenchi Muyo but was a bit bored with it. Next, I saw Ranma. It totally
got me
interested in anime because of its animation style and its story line.
Currently, I am not as addicted into anime as i once was, maybe because
now
its just part of everyday life (I have been in japan since march and
will be
leaving the end of july). Now, i see it as more of an artform than an
addiction. Anyway... yeah... thats how i got into anime. ^-^
