For some odd reason this thing has been saying that I'm in Mountain
Standard Time... ... but I'm in Chicago. Last I checked I was in Central
Standard Time...  ::shrugs:: Oh well...

didn't Pioneer and Viz do some kind of merger? I see a lot of Pioneer
advertisements on Viz "titles", and vice versa.

Just for some distribution purposes, although I don't remember all the
details on that.
------

Hmmm... I say that warrants a little investigating on... Something else
to do, since I'm so gosh darn bored... (this is the first time I've been on
a computer this long in quite some time...)

---[On the Azumanga Daioh manga]---
I'm only aware of it in Japanese... I have friends who have read the manga
and seen the anime - they are the ones who were impressed with the transtion
from manga to anime.

------

Hmmm... Cool. time to do some self-translating! (another thing I
haven't done in a while...)

---[snip]---
, but upon laughing at the first few eps I was under the misconception that
the whole series would be as such.

I can see that... a lot of people seemed to feel that way actually, so you
are not alone there.

------

I was sure hoping that I wasn't. I begin to wonder if the creator had
planned that all along... I'm not too sure how many fans the show would have
if it had started out with only a little bit of humor...

---[on conventions showing anime; renting anime]---
That's true enough, I've been to many conventions. As far as renting anime,
it's kinda hard to reccomend anything. Actually, being on Netflix, they do
have anime DVD's to rent, so that might be an option... a lot of comic book
stores seem to be carrying Anime as well now, so that may be an option for
you as well. Sometimes it's just a matter of looking in the right places
^_^;

------

Does Netflix still require a credit card? That was what killed it for
me back when I wanted to try it out, the first time. I don't have a credit
card, and with my credit, I don't really think a credit card would be a good
thing in my hands... or in my wallet (you pick).

I know a few comic book stores that sell anime, around here, but they
don't rent any out. The best place I can think of to rent anime around here,
is at Tower Records, but they don't seem to keep very good track of what they
have (or what they're going to get) in terms of anime...

     I'm gonna keep searching, though.
