     Well, I'm guessing (unless I'm totally wrong on how the format is going 
to be) it would depend on how much someone would actually use it.  Being 
"View On Demand" you only pay for what you watch, much like Pay-Per-View.
 

     So in a sense it wouldn't be much different than renting a video... 
::shrugs::  Aside from the part where you'd have to pay for the cable service 
itself, I'm not sure how much of a charge it is.  I know a few friends that 
have VOD, already, but I've never used it, myself.
