Well, the kanji used for doujinshi are 

dou = same as used for onaji (same)
jin = same as used for hito (person)
shi = same as end kanji used for zasshi (magazine)

I wrote this all out a few days ago, but I never got it back
from the server... hmm.

Anyway, I'd write the kanji but the computer I'm on doesn't
support Jap yet....
