I have a question about what I think is a fairly rare Ranma CD that I hope
one of the more knowledgeable members on this ML could help me with. I have
two copies of the Ranma 1/2 Kakutou Uta Karuta CD (At least I believe that's
the name of it.) I've heard that this was a CD that originally came with a
card game and then, due to demand was released as a regular CD. The CD's have
45 tracks and are filled with parodies of songs, spoken bits, etc. The two
CD's I have are radically different from each other.
The first CD is PCCG-00163. The booklet is heavier stock paper and the CD is
printed with blue ink. The CD case is standard size and the whole thing has a
production date of 91-12-21. There is a paper insert with the booklet that
has the numbers 102-91 in individual boxes at the top, lots of text and pics
of P-Chan and the Jusenko guard.
The second CD is PCCG-00197 and the CD is printed in green ink. The booklet
is on thin glossy paper and slips into a paper insert in the CD door. The CD
case itself is very skinny and the whole thing has a production date of
92-10-21.
I've looked online to try to find out about them but have found nada so I
have a few questions about these CD's. Do I even have the name of them
correct? Is either one of these the original game CD? Are they rare and what
kind of value do these things have? Is the game still available and is it
worth hunting down? If anyone on this ML can tell me about these, it would be
greatly appreciated.
