    MS has a lot of support from the PC side (or maybe they just bought them
all).

    Americans can make some pretty good games, believe it or not.  :)

    Programmers don't care about how hard something is to develop if it
makes them good money.  For the ease of development to really matter, the
competitors have to be within striking range of PS2.  You're not going to
turn down money just because it's hard to code.

    I doubt that's going to be a significant factor consider how big the
video game market is.

    But Sony has a huge lead that's hard to overcome for anyone if they
don't screw up.
