I don't know what prompted me to remember this, but a quick check in the 
Archives tells me that I recently passed the 5-year mark on this ML.  I 
spent a little time reminiscing with old friends and topics long gone, and 
marvelling at what a chatty bunch we were- the average monthly post count 
for 1997 was about 2300!
