Hehe now that I know that there are teenagers on this ML I hope someone
will respond to this. I'd like to talk about the show Digimon( I know
this is a Ranma ML, but anime discussions are also allowed, right? ) I
have to say I liked the first season, even though at first I thought it
was another Pkmn ripoff.  But OMG, the second season was literally the
worst season of anime I've ever seen. It seems to me that the writers
slacked off, procrastinated, then put together some BS at the last
second. For those of you who didn't see it, I'll summarize the plot: kids
fight bad guy, beat him, then it turns out he was just a mindless pawn of
another bad guy. Kids then fight that bad guy but she creates another bad
guy, who goes off soul searching b/c he finds out he's also another
mindless pawn. Kids then beat the bad guy who created the other bad guy
but it turns out SHE was another mindless pawn of a new bad guy. Kids
then fight THAT bad guy but it turns out HE"S a mindless pawn of a bad
guy that they beat four years ago. Kids then beat that bad guy, and they
all grow up and are successful and crap. Now, that summary was actually
SIMPLIFIED! The plot was so complicated ( and remember this show is
geared towards little kids ) that even high schoolers I knew  got lost.
And what was even worse was the ending, where everyone in the whole world
now has his/her own digimon, and the digiworld isn't a secret anymore. I
know the show's not supposed to be a great work or anything but I've
honestly seen better writing on a milk carton. The only good thing I
could say about the series would be the animation, which has some great
computer-animated sequences in it. I just started seeing a  few episodes
of the 3rd season this past weekend, but they were only filler eps and I
couldn't really get an opinion based on what I'd seen. I really hope the
writings better, b/c I like the charcters and the animation. Those of you
who aren't too embarrassed to say you like Digimon, what do you have to
say?
