I'd wager less than 10 people here remember Hitomi from the ML proper, 
though more might be familiar with the name from the "Clothes Make the Man" 
fanfic collaboration with NightElf.

Regardless, and although it's been many years since he was on the ML, I 
don't remember him being treated that badly here.  I heard there was some 
kind of fallout on the *FF*ML, and possibly a newsgroup or two.  I suppose 
I can check the archives for early-mid 1997 to see for certain..
