Arigatou gozaimashita.

*I legally changed my name to Kasumi
*Kawaii to honour her memory. A normal person might find it strange that
*someone like myself would ever want to become an anime character,

>To speak the truth, nothing really surprises me. If that is what makes you
>happy and is no harm to another then its fine by me.

I believe that whatever the human heart can think of, it can become a real
thing or place. That is why it is important to only think about good
things... Like the smell of tako-yaki wafting from a yatai. ^_^

* all I ever wanted to be was "normal." Maybe even to be loved...

>Well normal is a completely relative concept. That depends on who you see
>as your peers. As for love, love is out there for anyone as long as its not
>taken for granted that it will come. Sometimes it has to be sought after,
>but when you find it...

I have no peers that I am aware of, although I am sure there must be a FEW
out there somewhere. But none in this country at all. I know in my heart
that if I remain in this country, I shall forever be alone. I have been
alone for most of my life, and one would think that after all these years, I
would get used to it. But I never will. No, I will one day soon return to
my home and MAYBE then find the person I seek. Someone who would
understand.

*I am Japanese ONLY by the "virtue" that Okinawa is the 47th *Prefecture of
Japan.

>I see. OK.

There is great animosity between Okinawans and our "northen cousins."
Okinawa people blame Japan for starting the war in the first place, for the
loss of half of our poplulation during that war and for the ever-present
American occupation army that is on our ancient lands.

*but it has been my sad
*experience to say that everyone I have come into contact with (not here, but
*elsewhere) have not been exactly... open-minded.

>Well to be straight, the internet (if that is the elsewhere of which you

I understand what you are saying. I thought I was being very selective in my
dealings with certain people... and even so, my heart gets broken by the
heartless.

*Even more, I was specifically WARNED about this ML because of how a simillar
*person to myself has been treated in the past.

>I believe that I remember that situation. If I am thinking of what you are
>indicating.

Hai! Hai! Does the name Hitomi Ichinohei mean anything to you?

*This has been intensified thanks to the new "Pearl Harbour" movie that came
*out recently. Some people are willing to fight World War II all over
*again...

>And those people are idiots. The situation between the all countries
>involved have changed quite a bit. Anyways in my estimation Pearl Harbor is
>a sad attempt at Titanic with bullets. The movie was poor and won't survive

>so I wouldn't worry about it.
>My kind of movie is Cats and Dogs and Lord of the Rings so you can see
>where I coming from.

To read the Japanese version of that history is quite different than reading
the Korean version... or the American version. There are SOME who believe
that IF the United States had not frozen Japanese bank accounts and placed an
embargo on everything going to Japan, Pearl Harbour would have never been
attacked. While the Japanese government at that time did not exactly
consider America an ally, Japan only wished to crush the Communist Chinese.
Hontou ka?

*Perhaps I shall feel a little braver later on when people have gotten to
know
*me a little better... and I to know them. I truly am a very good and
*honourable person, even if I AM a little different from most people. In the
*meantime, you are more than welcome to visit my Web Site. The URL is...

>Most of here are pretty decent people and most of us aren't looking for a
>fight. This ML really isn't as combustible as it used to be. Just relax and
>feel free to contribute.

Thank you.
