Actually, it appears to be shaping up to be the other way 'round- some PC
developers are jumping ship to the console. And some of the bad console >
PC ports that are out there should be a warning against trying it with
every game.
And NVidia's video card for the X-Box
(http://www.nvidia.com/products.nsf/xbox.html) is totally brand new, so
*nobody* has had a chance to push its limits. And since it puts the
processors of every current console to shame, you can only make a guess as
to how great it will be.
Not that I'm getting one... it's still a console, after all.

Microsoft has readily acknowledged that breaking into the Japanese market
is going to be their biggest hurdle, due to the intense (fanatical) loyalty
to Sony and Nintendo. They'll probably have to learn how to make RPGs that
rival Square, and I doubt they have the ability right now...
