Shinobu:
(welcome back)
>Hey guys.
>
>No "Wazzup" or anything like that from me today. Since
>we do this by E-mail, it's hard to detect a person's
>feelings, unless otherwise indicated. So...
Well, since I doubt everyone on the list thinks you can go a day without a
"wazzup, gravy?", it's umm... 'all good'.
>3. Drinking a beverage called "Pocari Sweat".
>
>4. Did I mention the Pocari Sweat???
Hey... I remember Dave Barry talking about this stuff in one of his
books. What is a Pocari? And how do you get them to sweat? And who in
their right mind would drink sweat of any kind?
>(There's no worse feeling than drinking with friends
>in a bar in Shibuya, Tokyo, and getting the bill.
>We're talking 1500 yen, or about $15.00, for three
>bottles of lemon flavored malt liqour. Dammit, the Yen
>just flows like water!!)
From what Colin says, it's even worse when you go to the Kabuki-cho (was
that the right place?)
I tell you- if I ever went to Japan, I'd be in big trouble if my guide/host
was someone who visited places like that...
Host: "Now, I'm ashamed to admit it, but I spend a lot of time in topless
bars, and was wondering if..."
Bradster, with shoes and coat already on: "I've got about $1000 U.S. with
some cute kogal's name on it. Let's roll."
>It's been said several times on the ML that Ranma is
>dead in Japan. I would have to conceed to Mr Wang that
>he is absolutely correct.
<snip>
I've never doubted it's pretty much dead there. They've got new anime
coming out all the time, and their TV viewing public is as fickle as ours
is. I just don't think it matters over here unless it affects our
merchandise/fan opportunities.

Ron:
>As usual, this is The Relic, from the outer fringes of the Reality
>that is the Ranma ML....(and had my computer apart this weekend,
>upgrading it and slappin' the stuff in a new case; Now have 288MB of
>RAM to play with
I've also had the pleasure recently. Found a place online that sold me a
256MB chip for about $85 (including express delivery), so now I've got
about 300, myself. Don't notice much difference going from 128 to 300+ as
you do with a major processor upgrade.
-Bradster
"That thing's dangerous! It will kill us all!"
"Then WHY did you build it in the first place?!"
"Uh... well.... you know."
