    A total buyout/merge is unlikely.  This would mean Microsoft have to eat
up the losses from the Dreamcast and have to make a decision whether to
support something that's most likely not profitable, not to mention
supporting DC would actually be in direct competition with its on X-Box.
Though I can see them getting the programmers, as Sega has a pretty strong
in house development team.

    It's not so much as the specs, just that Sega doesn't know how to market
anything.  Skies of Arcadia certainly looks better than any RPG I've seen so
far on the PSX2.

    Well, unless they change something really different, most of the big
bosses don't have any particular elemental weakness.  I don't really see the
range factor being a big deal either... I don't recall any time where it
takes more than one turn to get into range to hit something.  You really
can't do much with range unless you make it like a strategy game, but then
it's not a RPG anymore.

Don, who thinks a Chrono Trigger styled sequel to Cross about Kid's
adventure in modern day Tokyo would be really cool.  Too bad it's not going
to happen...
