Well, McKenzie, I like Akane and Ranma together, too.  But a lot of
people on the list said that they think Ukyou is the one.  I just wanted
like to know why.  No one really had a reason until now.  Sure, Ukyou is
nice and all, and Ranma trusts her, but Ranma still thinks of her as a boy.
And if she is so messed up in the head (not that any of them are sane) that
she would fall in love with someone because they said she was cute . .
that's not love, that's infatuation.
	Granted, yes, Ukyou is a nice person.  And I'm sure if she and
Ranma spent a few months traveling together alone, they'd fall in love.
But then, so would Akane and Ranma if they spent those months together
without their parents trying to force them together or butting in every
time it got romantic.  Any two nice people can fall in love.  It's making
it last that counts.  <g>
	I do agree that Ranma trusts her.  But he can't trust her with
everything.  He knows that after the 38th book, for sure!! (when she
trashed the wedding and almost hurt Akane) <g>  He can't talk to her about
how he feels about Akane, whether that feeling is good, bad or neutral.  If
he is angry at Akane, Ukyou doesn't look at it like "gee, poor Ranma.
Akane was mean to him again.  Why is she mean?  Ranma must feel really
bad."  Instead she says to herself "Yes!  Now Ranma will hate Akane and
choose me!"
	It doesn't seem like she is very considerate of Ranma, but then, is
Ranma considerate of her?  No.  None of the characters are very considerate
of others. <g>  They all need a lot of growth and more maturity before they
can truely say they love ANYONE. <g>
	Anyway, after the 38th book when Ranma admited to loveing Akane
(whether to himself or to her, we don't know, but he did) how can you say
he loves Ukyou more? <g>  Who knows, maybe he would be better off with
Ukyou.  But I'd be wary of marrying someone who fell in love with me just
because I said they were attractive.  heck, if some guy-friend of mine I
said was cute started falling all over ME like that, I'd tell him to stay
away and get some counciling!! <g>

--Well, I would say that Ukyo has the very good reason that Ranma trusts her.
 Who does he go to with his problems?  Who speaks to him and does not make
mincemeat of him every time?  It's Ucchan!!!  In fact, if Ranma had the balls
to chose, he probably would choose her over Akane.  The only thing i feel is
holding him back is his feeling of honor towards his family, and his fear of
hurting anyone's feelings.
