    Um, no.  YYH is based on good guys fighting things that are distinctly
monsters, while things in DB are very humanoid in nature.  Togashi wrote in
volume 6 of Hunter X Hunter that YYH was originally supposed to call
something like "A Ghost Journey" because it's similar to "The Journey West",
the Chinese novel that DB got it's main character from (though that's about
where the similarity ends), since you got a group of people sort of fighting
their way through a whole mess of monsters that just wanted them dead, like
the group in the story.

    Togashi really draws whatever he feels like.  I wish the new Hunter X
Hunter would come out soon...
