Of course they do. His standard reply will be to hit me again with another
racist picture or (as in the last case), attachments. He isn't very bright,
to be sure, but then, it isn't really in my nature to keep silent against
such trolling, and even if he is resistant to logic, he most likely is not
resistant to the thought that his "community" may find him out (which is
always possible on an NG). My followups simply make that job easier
to people who actually care (not many in this day and age, I am sure).
Or perhaps I enjoy needling him. The walls of the human mind
can be breached; sometimes it just takes a better battering ram.

Weeeelll, darker than most of the RPGs I have played (stuff like Lunar
and FF4 (2), and the first Dragon Quest (Warrior), among others
tend to be pretty lightweight in terms of heavy overtones. Probably the darkest
game I have actually played would be Blood Omen:Legacy of Kain (actionRPG).
So perhaps I am not the best judge on darker RPGs.
