<< I thought it was Evangelion: Death And Rebirth
and Evangelion: End of Eva (or something like that), for the names of the
two Eva movie titles... Because that's what my animevid files say... I'm
not trying to be an ass, im just curious... >>
It is, er was, er... I'll explain it slowly (maybe then, my head
won't hurt). There was originally Death and Rebirth (two films shown
together because time-wise they aren't featurelength all by their widdle
selves), and then, End of Evangelion. These were re-edited again into the
film True Death, which is End and the Rebirth portion of Death and Rebirth
(don't ask), along with additional animation, and a restructured version of
Death. This again, was further corrected and adjusted (sadly, this time
under the supervision of another director [i.e. not Anno]), to become the
second version of True Death, which is True Death 2 (with the funny '2'
which, like many things, MLs seem dead set against accepting). This final
version will probably be the one they show in theatres (they have the rights
to three different versions due to funky contracting), which they supposedly
are calling Evangelion Revival (God knows why; but I sure as hell don't).
This being further evidence of why anime release companies only really exist
to screw with our minds, wallets, and general sanity.
