So I've just been sitting back for the last week, absolutely stunned by
the chiding I've received for the mistreatment of particular newbies.

Mistreatment.

Hell, in times past, mistreatment, at least on my part, usually included a
few "Shut the hell ups", some beatings (usually consisting of a pillowcase
containing very hard objects), and some very blunt and occasionally rude
"get over its."

Of course, I occasionally received criticism. No big deal.

Now I poke a little fun, with virtually no violence...actually, no, there
was no violence on my part whatsoever, and now I'm some kind of heretic.
I make a few sarcastic remarks, and raise and eyebrow, and suddenly, it's
time to crucify this asshole who feels it's his right to hassle people
from time to time.

What the heck happened, huh? More people are now pissed that I'm
jaywalking then back when I was doing donuts in the intersections?

Obviously my time here has come and gone. I am a relic, even moreso than
our slightly more aged friend who has taken that title upon himself.

For those of you supported me, thanks; take care.

For those of you who sneered at me and called me the boogie man whenever I
knocked a newbie in line, you'll never understand. Screw you hippie.

Anyone who wants to stay in contact with me, you have my email. The rest
of you can go on living in your perfect fantasy land where everyone
showers everyone with sunshine and rose petals, and where anyone can just
say anything anyhow, and suddenly WWII spins into the conversation yet
again. My days of trying to be the voice of reason and restraint are
gone.
