        Ranma is still popular but it no longer is the anime or manga that 
people become anime and manga fans with. Amoung fanfic writers it is the most 
popular series to wright about maybe only beaten by Sailor Moon. But I think 
more and more people are being introduced to anime via any number of series 
released by ADV, BandaI, Or Pioneer. Besides at Viz, won't concentrate on 
advertising anything except Pokemon really because Pokemon is their holy cash 
cow.Or it could be that people just aren't finding out about the ML in 
numbers like 
they used to.  Advertising and all that.

About the anti-Viz stuff, what can I say, since you know I agree with you?  
Viz 
still thinks it's 1992 and they're the only game in town.  Didn't someone 
here 
even experience their fan-snubbing firsthand with something that ended up 
essentially as "Go to hell, we're Viz?"

        True maybe they still think it's 1992 but animeigo is just as bad if 
not worse. People seem to forget that animeigo still charges 34.95 per a VHS 
tape many times (that is what a KOR tape sells for) but fanboys allow 
animeigo to get away with it because they are really nothing more than 
professional fanboys. I am personally getting really tired and disgusted at 
the way fan boys go around pissing and moaning about everything. Dubs suck, 
the companies suck, their translations suck (like the fanboys know enough 
Japanese to translate), the english language sucks. I just want to tell them 
to SHUT THE FUCK UP! The simpson were right when they created the comic store 
guy, he is the perfect representation of your average fanboy. These companies 
provide you with the anime and manga you love so much, if you hate what they 
do with them then buy imports from Japan or start your own company, do 
anything except piss and moan.

I think their main problem is overextension- too many series, too many 
magazines, too much anime to handle.

        Yeah but Viz releases so much manga monthly and if they did not, no 
one would. And Viz has the best titles, followed by Darkhorse/Studio Proteus. 
Other comapanies like Studio Ironcat usually only release not as popular 
titles like Vampire Pricess Miyu and Crusher Joe. Miyu was a cool anime but I 
think that maybe Studio Ironcat should try to release some titles which were 
mangas first like Kimagure Orange Road, Touch, Ruroni Kenshin.
