Usually multiple personality disorder is related to some early
trauma: it's been previously suggested that Kasumi was sexually
abused by Doctor Tofu. However one might contruct darker possiblities
also involving, say, her mother's death, and/or Happosai. If Soun also had
repressed memories and multiple personalities, it could explain how he
overlooks seeing the Ryouga/P-chan transformation. >>
personally, I think this is plain overanalysis. Ranma is a comedy and most
things are done to evoke a laugh. Overanalysis of comedy is just making
that's suppossed to be fun serious.
