A passable save, but you should expand that to "oblivious to the fact that
Ranma doesn't want to use them as a punch-bunny.", since Akane's pretty
oblivious to other things herself.  The only regular character in Ranma 1/2
that isn't selfish is Kasumi.  I have more respect for Ukyou and Shampoo
because they're honest with their own feelings, and don't attempt to deny
their desire for Ranma's company.  Akane, on the other hand, stubbornly
refuses to publically admit any feelings for him yet continually punishes
him when a rival gets within 5 feet of him.  She can get away with giving
him a feeble excuse for his behavior and just say that "it was his fault",
rather than openly confronting the girl and risk having to admit feelings
of jealousy or possessiveness.
