>Doco songs. Got Doco 1st and 2nd, and I'm very fond of them. No

My thoughts exactly. Besides being written in another language, I think the structure
of a Japanese song is very different from a western one, so it's usually very hard
to translate. BTW, I think the translations from Viz (the ones from Trish Ledoux in
particular) are pretty well done; not because they're litteral translations - they're
not - but because they retain most of the original song structure and feeling. Maybe
I'm the only one who thinks that... or not?

Anyway, it's nice to hear a different (albeit inferior) version of songs I'm so fond
of... ^_^

>:-). I also find that the more I listen to them the more I understand
>These days I can follow the words in those songs almost as well as
>I could if they were in English. Mind you, when I start singing in
>Japanese along to the Doco Karaoke CD, I get weird looks if anyone
>spots me <grin>

Same to me! ^_^;

I have a friend who also loves Anime/Ranma. When we go out together, one of us often
starts humming a song, and the other immediately sings along... it's stronger than
our will to resist it! ^_~ And people usually stop what they're doing and look at
us as if we're from Mars or something. It's often fun, and almost always embarrassing...

>WUE. Still got to read that. All these 'W' fics I have still to
>get to. Takes a LONG time to get through the 'T's. Right now up
>to 'The Production of Joy'. Next big fic 'The Shadow Chronicles'

You mean, you read them in alphabetic order?!?!
Mind you, I'm not telling you how to do things, it's not my intention. But I guess
you should get to the best stuff first... ^_^

>So, how do people think that Ranma would react if something made it

>the others do?

Which arc is that? Since I'm lagging behind the current episodes, I probably haven't
watched/read it yet. But I'm sure Ranma wouldn't rest until he recovered his usual
condition. And, of course, he would be supported by his many fiancees.

Bradster:

>Richard's had a
>whole season now and he seems to be getting into Ranma's voice a little, but I
>still prefer Sarah.

Yeah, true enough (unfortunately)... :-(
Sarah's voice doesn't resemble much the original Ranma-kun's, but it sounded great.
The new VA is not bad, to be honest, but...

>Well, it didn't appear to phaze Ukyou at all, since you don't need to be able
>to pulverize cement with your bare hands to help run a restaurant.

100% agreed! I guess she would actually be happy with the prospect, since she might
think that the others would lose interest in him.

>Shampoo might get tired of protecting him against Mousse every minute, and
>since his condition is artificial and his genes are OK, she might just let him
>be killed once she has a bun in the oven. (^_^)

Somehow I don't think that's Shampoo at all. She's in love with him. If she only wanted
to breed, she would have seduced him long ago and returned to China.

>I don't think it would bother Kodachi either, since she seems less fixated on
>his prowess than his mere existence in her world...

I don't want to even *think* of what Kodachi would do with a powerless Ranma... <shivers>

>That other one, ol' what's-her-name... Dunno.

Akane would certainly sympathize with his suffering, and would try her best to help
him.

Purple:

>But I thought that he would probably be lost yet again, so Akane would have time
to cool off and think things over; like.. umm... Stiffanie? said, she's quick to anger
but also quick to forgive.

Sure, she might even forgive him. But I'm sure she wouldn't take P-Chan to bed anymore!
So Ryoga would realize she knew the truth.
