Anyway, if a e-mail to that address doesn't work, you could try calling him
or doing a search on his name. But if this is 'the' Ranam Project, doesn't
if have a home somewhere else?

A lot of domains are just registered and not actually up and running. Some
are because people wanted grab a hot name and some because they had hopes of
selling it to someone for big bucks. Others are just registered to people
who had high hopes for a domain name and failed to keep their site running
(the registration is usually for 2 years to start, so even if the wite
vansihes in the waves of the web, the registration is still there until it
expires).
