I don't think LD really caught on here except with the people who used it
more for getting Japanese anime than American movies (but I never really
paid attention to LD so I could be completely wrong- I only knew one person
who owned one).

Considering how neglected the 'Universe' is, I don't even know if Cardwell
did anything with that petition, but I doubt the number of signatures he
got was enough to merit pressing LD dubs in quantity.
