Welcome to the list... that makes three today. I guess we're in rebuilding
mode. Welcome everybody especially all you new lurkers who probably won't
ever make your presence known.

As for collecting Ranma without paying a fortune. 

A. Find a friend that has all the tapes...
B. Find an anime shop that rents the tapes...

No matter how many Blockbusters or Hollywood Videos you visit you won't get
the whole series.

That's all that I'll suggest. However if you want quality just break down
and buy the tapes. You don't have to buy them all at once. Just buy them
when you can. Mail order could prove cheaper than buying a tape at a retail
outlet. You usually avoid paying the sales tax that way.

If you just want the stories and not exactly the anime, buy the graphic
novels. They're fairly priced and you get more story than the anime tapes.
