    What was released, AFAIK, about 15 years ago was a rather well-acted but 
not-so-well adapted and somewhat cut (not for violence or nudity, but for 
time) remake called Warriors of the Wind.  Not the worst anime adaptation 
ever (That goes to Battle of the Planets) or the best, but servicable.  Good 
luck finding it, though...
